SSF Full Form – Special Security Force

The SSF full form is Special Security Force, It is a Law enforcement agency, where employees and foreign dignitaries are protected in Bangladesh by the SSF. The SSF’s job is to physically safeguard anyone who the Bangladeshi government has designated as being very important, including the president and prime minister of that country.

The SSF collaborates with civil authorities, security agencies, and intelligence groups to thwart present VIP threats and protect them against impending ones. VIPs’ residences and places of business are likewise under the SSF’s protection. 

History of SSF:

Hussain Muhammad Ershad, who was president at that point, was the person who originally proposed the idea of making a Special Security Force in Bangladesh to give actual assurance to celebrities. The Official Security Power was consequently settled on June 15, 1986. The association was renamed the Exceptional Security Power on September 27, 1991, after Bangladesh embraced a parliamentary type of government.

A security force was established by the Presidential Security Force Ordinance, which will be directly under the direction of the president, administered and overseen by a director, and may be given the authority of the Chief of Army Staff for SSF activities. The force may request assistance from other agencies, such as the military, law enforcement, paramilitary, and intelligence services. The protection of the president, the prime minister, and other VIPs was the Special Security Force’s primary responsibility before the parliamentary system was reinstated. 

The SSF full form is Special Security Force, the force’s original mandate included the physical protection of both the president and VIPs, such as presidents of state, leaders of government, and anybody else the government classified as a VIP, wherever they might be. Additionally stated in the job description is that this role “collects and distributes intelligence impacting the physical protection of the Prime Minister, President, or a VIP.”
