Different types of ARMD
Coming to the types, there are two types of ARMD available in medical science. One is the Dry one and another is the wet type. The dry one which is commonly known as the atrophic ARMD is caused due to the age and thinner macula in the eyes. On the other hand the wet ARMD is known as the advanced neovascular ARMD which is considered to be late but causes faster vision loss process. In accordance with the dry armed, the stages are spitted in three as early one, the intermediate one and the late one.
Also there is no treatment that can be given for the late ARMD but for other immediate responses of treatment can be given. Other hands, the wet ARMD is the late stage where you cannot have any treatment for this. But only some of the people who are lucky enough are getting treatment for the wet type which can give results.
