MLA – Member of Legislative Assembly:
The MLA full form is Member of Legislative Assembly, MLA is a representative appointed by the people. They then become members of the legislative assembly and also form the Indian government system. Every state in India has a legislative assembly and each state is divided into different areas or constituencies according to the population of those areas. In this way, the MLAs are represented by people. The legislative assembly consists of not more than 500 members and not less than 60 members.
Who can become an MLA – Member of the Legislative Assembly?
The qualification to become a member of the state assembly. Here normal term period for the Legislative Assembly is five years. Let us see the steps to follow,
